  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to alcoholic beverages; providing that 
  1.3             certain establishments in which wine is made for 
  1.4             personal or family use only are not required to be 
  1.5             licensed; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.6             Statutes, chapter 340A. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [340A.34] [WINEMAKING ON PREMISES STORE.] 
  1.9      A commercial establishment in which individuals make wine 
  1.10  on the premises for personal and family use only and not for 
  1.11  resale, using ingredients or materials or both supplied by the 
  1.12  establishment, is not required to be licensed under this chapter 
  1.13  if the establishment is operated in accordance with Code of 
  1.14  Federal Regulations, title 27, section 24.75.  No person under 
  1.15  the age of 21 years may participate in the making of wine in 
  1.16  such an establishment.  Alcoholic beverages may not be sold or 
  1.17  otherwise provided to customers of an establishment described in 
  1.18  this section unless the establishment holds the appropriate 
  1.19  license for such sale or provision. 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
