  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; providing a nursing 
  1.3             facility rate adjustment; appropriating money; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 256B.434, by 
  1.5             adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 256B.434, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4b.  [FACILITY RATE INCREASES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 
  1.10  2000.] Following the determination under section 256B.431, 
  1.11  subdivision 28, of the payment rate for the rate year beginning 
  1.12  July 1, 2000, for a facility in Todd county licensed for 78 
  1.13  beds, the facility's operating cost per diem shall be increased 
  1.14  by the following amounts: 
  1.15     (1) case mix class A, $3.00; 
  1.16     (2) case mix class B, $3.90; 
  1.17     (3) case mix class C, $4.92; 
  1.18     (4) case mix class D, $5.85; 
  1.19     (5) case mix class E, $6.81; 
  1.20     (6) case mix class F, $6.87; 
  1.21     (7) case mix class G, $7.68; 
  1.22     (8) case mix class H, $9.21; 
  1.23     (9) case mix class I, $9.75; 
  1.24     (10) case mix class J, $10.59; and 
  1.25     (11) case mix class K, $12.36. 
  2.1   These increases shall be included in the facility's total 
  2.2   payment rates for the purpose of determining future rates under 
  2.3   this section or any other section. 
  2.4      Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  2.5      $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  2.6   commissioner of human services for the fiscal year beginning 
  2.7   July 1, 2000, for the purposes of section 1.
