A bill for an act
 relating to state lands; providing for a conservation easement over tax-forfeited
land in St. Louis County.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin CONSERVATION EASEMENT; ST. LOUIS COUNTY.

new text begin St. Louis County may execute and record and the state shall accept a conservation
easement over tax-forfeited land for the purpose of restoration of wetlands to be utilized
for mitigation of wetlands displaced by mining operations in St. Louis County.

Sec. 2. new text begin EFFECTIVE DATE; LOCAL APPROVAL.

its chief clerical officer comply with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021, subdivisions
2 and 3.
