  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to veterans; authorizing the placement of a 
  1.3             plaque in the court of honor on the capitol grounds to 
  1.4             honor combat wounded veterans. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [MEMORIAL PLAQUE; COMBAT WOUNDED VETERANS.] 
  1.7      A memorial plaque to honor combat wounded veterans may be 
  1.8   placed in the court of honor on the capitol grounds.  The plaque 
  1.9   must be furnished by other than the department of veterans 
  1.10  affairs and approved by the commissioner and the capitol area 
  1.11  architectural and planning board. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
