A bill for an act
relating to state government operations; eliminating signature requirement for
minimal long-distance telephone bills; amending Minnesota Statutes 2004,
section 10.43.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 10.43, is amended to read:


10.43 TELEPHONE USE; APPROVAL.

Each representative, senator, constitutional officer, judge, and head of a state
department or agency shall sign the person's monthly long-distance telephone bills paid
by the state as evidence of the person's approval of each billnew text begin when the amount of the
bill is $5 or more
