  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to state lands; authorizing the public sale 
  1.3             of certain tax-forfeited land bordering on public 
  1.4             waters in Washington county. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LAND; WASHINGTON 
  1.7   COUNTY.] 
  1.8      (a) Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, sections 92.45 and 
  1.9   282.018, subdivision 1, Washington county may sell the 
  1.10  tax-forfeited land bordering public water that is described in 
  1.11  paragraph (c) under the remaining provisions of Minnesota 
  1.12  Statutes, chapter 282. 
  1.13     (b) The conveyance must be in a form approved by the 
  1.14  attorney general. 
  1.15     (c) The parcel of land that may be conveyed is located in 
  1.16  Washington county and is described as: 
  1.17     All of Government Lot 1, Kuhl's Subdivision, and all of the 
  1.18     land between the extended lines of said Lot 1, Kuhl's 
  1.19     Subdivision, from the Birchwood road to the shores of the 
  1.20     main body of White Bear lake; EXCEPT a strip of land of the 
  1.21     peninsula lying between the extended lines of said Lot 1, 
  1.22     Kuhl's Subdivision, which was quit claim deeded by Clare C. 
  1.23     Kuhl and Helen Kuhl to T.G. Simpson on 12/5/62 and recorded 
  1.24     in Book 246, Page 505 in the office of the Register of 
  1.25     Deeds in and for Washington county, Minnesota, subject to 
  2.1      and together with easement for private road use now of 
  2.2      record.  Subject to a 20 foot wide perpetual easement for 
  2.3      drainage and utility purposes.  All in Section 30, Township 
  2.4      30 North, Range 21 West, Washington county, Minnesota. 
  2.5      (d) The county has determined that the county's land 
  2.6   management interests would best be served if the lands were 
  2.7   returned to private ownership and put back on the tax rolls.
