A bill for an act
relating to education finance; modifying the deposit of certain proceeds of rental
income for the Minnesota State Academies; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020,
section 125A.71, subdivision 1.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 125A.71, subdivision 1, is amended to read:
Subdivision 1.
Rental income; appropriation.
Rental incomedeleted text begin, excluding rent for land
and living residences,deleted text end must be deposited in the state treasury and credited to a revolving
fund of the academies. Money in the revolving fund for rental income is annually
appropriated to the academies for staff development purposes. Payment from the revolving
fund for rental income may be made only according to vouchers authorized by the
administrator of the academies.
