relating to corrections; appropriating money for reentry services.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $5,000,000 in fiscal year 2017 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of corrections to establish high-risk revocation reduction programs in the
cities of Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, Rochester, and Duluth. Each program shall
receive $1,000,000 to provide sustained case planning, housing assistance, employment
assistance, group mentoring, life skills programming, and transportation assistance to
adult male release violators who are being released again from prison.
