A bill for an act
relating to education; providing for paraprofessional credentials; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 120B.363, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 120B.363, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin The Board of Teaching shall establish fees, including late fees, for
credentials and renewals of credentials so that the total fees collected by the board will as
closely as possible equal anticipated expenditures during the fiscal biennium, as provided
in section 16A.1285. Fees must be credited to accounts in the special revenue fund.
