  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; providing a nursing 
  1.3             facility rate adjustment; appropriating money; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 256B.434, by 
  1.5             adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1998, section 256B.434, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4b.  [FACILITY RATE INCREASES EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 
  1.10  2000.] For the rate year beginning July 1, 2000, a nursing 
  1.11  facility in Traverse county licensed for 55 beds that delicenses 
  1.12  20 beds shall have its property-related payment rate increased 
  1.13  by $2.89 on the remaining licensed beds, prior to application of 
  1.14  the adjustment in subdivision 4, paragraph (c).  This increase 
  1.15  shall be included in the facility's total payment rates for the 
  1.16  purpose of determining future rates under this section or any 
  1.17  other section. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.19     $....... is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.20  commissioner of human services for the fiscal year beginning 
  1.21  July 1, 2000, for the purposes of section 1.
