  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing bonds 
  1.3             and appropriating money to renovate a nursing home and 
  1.4             add assisted living housing units and adult and child 
  1.5             day care space in the city of Dawson. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [DAWSON NURSING HOME RENOVATION AND RELATED 
  1.8   ADDITIONS.] 
  1.9      $2,500,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.10  the commissioner of human services for a grant to the city of 
  1.11  Dawson for renovation of the Johnson Memorial Nursing Home, the 
  1.12  addition of 20 assisted living housing units, and adult and 
  1.13  child day care space.  The city is the fiscal agent for the 
  1.14  joint powers project of the city and the Dawson area hospital 
  1.15  district. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.17     To provide the money appropriated by section 1 from the 
  1.18  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.19  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.20  amount up to $2,500,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with 
  1.21  the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.22  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.23  4 to 7. 
  1.24     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.25     This act is effective the day following its final enactment.
