  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; appropriating money to 
  1.3             independent school district No. 704, Proctor, for the 
  1.4             restoration of lost revenue. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $62,812 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 from the 
  1.8   general fund to the commissioner of children, families, and 
  1.9   learning for a grant to independent school district No. 704, 
  1.10  Proctor, to restore revenue lost in fiscal year 1996 as a result 
  1.11  of the penalty for late settlement of a teacher contract under 
  1.12  Minnesota Statutes, section 124A.22, subdivision 2a. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
