relating to natural resources; requiring feasibility study and report on state park
fees.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin FEASIBILITY STUDY; ELIMINATE PARK ENTRANCE FEES.

new text begin The commissioner of natural resources must study the feasibility of eliminating state
park entrance fees and increasing other park charges to provide additional revenue to the
state parks account in the natural resources fund. The commissioner must study examples
in other states and in political subdivisions in Minnesota. By January 15, 2022, the
commissioner must provide a report on the feasibility study to the chairs and ranking minority
members of the house of representatives and senate committees and divisions with jurisdiction
over natural resources policy and finance.
