  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education; providing for airport runway 
  1.3             impact pupil unit aid for independent school district 
  1.4             No. 280, Richfield. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [FISCAL YEARS 2003 TO 2007 AIRPORT RUNWAY 
  1.7   IMPACT PUPIL UNIT AID; RICHFIELD.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [AIRPORT IMPACT ZONE PUPIL UNITS, 
  1.9   DEFINITION.] For the purposes of this section, "airport impact 
  1.10  zone pupil units" means the number of pupil units, according to 
  1.11  Minnesota Statutes 1999 Supplement, section 126C.05, subdivision 
  1.12  1, in school year 1998-1999 that were attributable to the 
  1.13  airport impact zone, as defined in Laws 1999, chapter 243, 
  1.14  article 16, section 35, subdivision 1. 
  1.15     Subd. 2.  [FISCAL YEAR 2003.] For fiscal year 2003 only, 
  1.16  independent school district No. 280, Richfield, is eligible for 
  1.17  declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of 70 percent of 
  1.18  the airport impact zone pupil units times the general education 
  1.19  formula allowance for fiscal year 2003. 
  1.20     Subd. 3.  [FISCAL YEAR 2004.] For fiscal year 2004 only, 
  1.21  independent school district No. 280, Richfield, is eligible for 
  1.22  declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of 70 percent of 
  1.23  the airport impact zone pupil units times the general education 
  1.24  formula allowance for fiscal year 2004. 
  1.25     Subd. 4.  [FISCAL YEAR 2005.] For fiscal year 2005 only, 
  2.1   independent school district No. 280, Richfield, is eligible for 
  2.2   declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of 52.5 percent of 
  2.3   the airport impact zone pupil units times the general education 
  2.4   formula allowance for fiscal year 2005. 
  2.5      Subd. 5.  [FISCAL YEAR 2006.] For fiscal year 2006 only, 
  2.6   independent school district No. 280, Richfield, is eligible for 
  2.7   declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of 35 percent of 
  2.8   the airport impact zone pupil units times the general education 
  2.9   formula allowance for fiscal year 2006. 
  2.10     Subd. 6.  [FISCAL YEAR 2007.] For fiscal year 2007 only, 
  2.11  independent school district No. 280, Richfield, is eligible for 
  2.12  declining pupil unit aid equal to the product of 17.5 percent of 
  2.13  the airport impact zone pupil units times the general education 
  2.14  formula allowance for fiscal year 2007. 
  2.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  2.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
