  1.2             relating to nursing homes; exempting volunteer service 
  1.3             in nursing home beauty shops; proposing coding for new 
  1.4             law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 144A. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [144A.132] [VOLUNTEER SERVICE.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law or rule, 
  1.8   nursing home volunteers may perform routine tasks, including but 
  1.9   not limited to washing, drying, and setting hair, in a licensed 
  1.10  beauty shop operating in a nursing home for residents in nursing 
  1.11  homes.
