  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to wetlands; creating a cost-share program 
  1.3             for small cities; appropriating money; proposing 
  1.4             coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 103G.
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [103G.2371] [COST-SHARE PROGRAM.] 
  1.7      The board shall allocate funds to home rule charter or 
  1.8   statutory cities with populations under 5,000 to share the costs 
  1.9   of wetland replacement under section 103G.222.  Grants may be 
  1.10  made for up to 50 percent of the costs incurred by a city and 
  1.11  may not exceed $5,000 per grant.  The board shall develop 
  1.12  application materials and receive and evaluate applications. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.14     $50,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the board 
  1.15  of water and soil resources for the purposes of section 1.
