  1.2             relating to game and fish; prohibiting the taking of 
  1.3             white bears; amending Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 
  1.4             97B.411. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 97B.411, is 
  1.7   amended to read: 
  1.8      97B.411 [BEAR SEASON AND RESTRICTIONS.] 
  1.9      The commissioner may, by rule, prescribe the open season 
  1.10  and the areas and restrictions for the taking of bear.  A person 
  1.11  may not take a white bear.
