  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; appropriating money for 
  1.3             assistive technology. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $300,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of administration for a grant to Assistive 
  1.8   Technology of Minnesota as follows: 
  1.9      (1) $250,000 to administer a microloan program to support 
  1.10  the purchase of equipment and devices for people with 
  1.11  disabilities and their families and employers; and 
  1.12     (2) $50,000 to develop the Access to Telework program. 
  1.13     The appropriation is available until July 1, 2005. 
  1.14     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective the day 
  1.15  following final enactment.
