  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; authorizing state bonds; 
  1.3             appropriating money for improvements to the Root River 
  1.4             trail. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [IMPROVEMENTS TO THE ROOT RIVER TRAIL.] 
  1.7      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] $138,180 is appropriated 
  1.8   from the bond proceeds fund to the commissioner of natural 
  1.9   resources to design, construct, and expand parking facilities at 
  1.10  the trail head of the Root River trail in the city of Lanesboro. 
  1.11     Subd. 2.  [BOND SALE.] To provide the money appropriated in 
  1.12  this act from the bond proceeds fund the commissioner of 
  1.13  finance, on request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds 
  1.14  of the state in an amount up to $140,000 in the manner, upon the 
  1.15  terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.16  sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.17  article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.19     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
