  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the environment; extending the period for 
  1.3             collecting dry cleaner environmental reimbursement 
  1.4             fees; amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 
  1.5             115B.49, subdivision 4a. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 115B.49, 
  1.8   subdivision 4a, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4a.  [INTERIM FEES.] For the period from July 1, 2001 
  1.10  2003, to June 30, 2003 2005, the commissioner shall, after a 
  1.11  public hearing, but notwithstanding section 16A.1285, 
  1.12  subdivision 4, annually adjust the fees in subdivision 4 as 
  1.13  necessary to maintain an annual income of $650,000.  
  1.14     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective retroactively 
  1.15  from July 1, 2003.
