relating to veterans; designating July 27 as Korean War Veterans Day; proposing
coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 197.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin Purpose. new text end

new text begin Over 700 of the Americans who died in the Korean War
were from the state of Minnesota. Many other Minnesotans are surviving Korean War
veterans. This section is enacted as a way for Minnesotans to show their pride and
gratitude, recall the veterans' accomplishments, and thank Minnesota's Korean War
veterans for their unselfish devotion to duty.
