  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; authorizing a planned 
  1.3             closure rate adjustment for a nursing facility in 
  1.4             Becker County; amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, 
  1.5             section 256B.437, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 256B.437, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 10.  [BECKER COUNTY RATE ADJUSTMENT.] Notwithstanding 
  1.10  the time period specified in subdivision 3, the commissioner may 
  1.11  approve a planned closure rate adjustment for a 98-bed facility 
  1.12  in Becker County that is sold after the effective date of this 
  1.13  subdivision.  The adjustment shall be calculated according to 
  1.14  subdivision 6.
