  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; creating a community 
  1.3             education fund balance restriction levy. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [COMMUNITY EDUCATION FUND BALANCE RESTRICTION 
  1.6   LEVY.] 
  1.7      A school district whose community education reserve account 
  1.8   or unreserved/undesignated community service fund was reduced in 
  1.9   fiscal year 2003 due to the provisions in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.10  section 124D.20, subdivision 11, may levy over three or fewer 
  1.11  years for up to 60 percent of the amount that was reduced in 
  1.12  fiscal year 2003 according to that section. 
  1.13     [EFFECTIVE DATE.] This section is effective for revenue for 
  1.14  taxes payable in 2006, 2007, and 2008 only.
