  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to natural resources; providing funding for 
  1.3             construction of a portion of the Paul Bunyan state 
  1.4             trail; authorizing the sale of state bonds; 
  1.5             appropriating money. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $1,000,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.9   the commissioner of natural resources to connect the portions of 
  1.10  the Paul Bunyan state trail in the city of Bemidji, including 
  1.11  the construction of an underpass. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.13     To provide the money appropriated in this act from the bond 
  1.14  proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance shall sell and issue 
  1.15  bonds of the state in an amount up to $1,000,000 in the manner, 
  1.16  upon the terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota 
  1.17  Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota 
  1.18  Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.19     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
