  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to education; authorizing grants to reimburse 
  1.3             independent school district No. 2184, Luverne, for 
  1.4             additional construction expenditures related to the 
  1.5             expansion of the state prevailing wage statute; 
  1.6             appropriating money. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.9      $400,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 1998 from the 
  1.10  general fund to the department of children, families, and 
  1.11  learning for a grant to independent school district No. 2184, 
  1.12  Luverne, for the reimbursement of additional construction 
  1.13  expenditures incurred as a result of the districts complying 
  1.14  with Minnesota Statutes, section 121.15, subdivision 1a.  
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
