relating to public safety; appropriating money for Metro Transit violent crime
enforcement team.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin METRO TRANSIT VIOLENT CRIME ENFORCEMENT TEAM;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $750,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner
of public safety for the Metro Transit violent crime enforcement team, which includes
members from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office,
the St. Paul Police Department, the Minneapolis Police Department, and the Metro Transit
Police Department. The base for this appropriation is $1,000,000 in fiscal years 2024 and
2025.
