  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to capital investment; authorizing bonds and 
  1.3             appropriating money for construction of a cooperative 
  1.4             education and community center for independent school 
  1.5             district No. 378, Dawson-Boyd. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $3,850,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to 
  1.9   the commissioner of children, families, and learning for a grant 
  1.10  to independent school district No. 378, Dawson-Boyd, to 
  1.11  construct an educational and community center. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.13     To provide the money appropriated by section 1 from the 
  1.14  state bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on 
  1.15  request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state 
  1.16  in an amount not to exceed $3,850,000 in the manner, upon the 
  1.17  terms, and with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.18  sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, 
  1.19  article XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.20     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  1.22  enactment.
