A bill for an act
relating to education finance; restoring charter school start-up aid for certain
charter schools for fiscal year 2006; amending Laws 2003, First Special Session
chapter 9, article 2, section 51; Laws 2005, First Special Session chapter 5,
article 2, section 84, subdivision 3.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Laws 2003, First Special Session chapter 9, article 2, section 51, is amended
to read:
Sec. 51. CHARTER SCHOOL START-UP AID.
A charter school in its first year of operation during fiscal year 2004 or 2005 is not

Statutes, section 124D.11, subdivision 8.

This section is effective the day following final enactment
for revenue for fiscal year 2006.

Laws 2005, First Special Session chapter 5, article 2, section 84, subdivision 3,
is amended to read:
Subd. 3. Charter school startup aid. For charter school startup cost aid under
Minnesota Statutes, section 124D.11:
