  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; authorizing a waiver of 
  1.3             certain requirements in the program of aid to families 
  1.4             with dependent children. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [YOUTHBUILD EARNINGS EXCLUDED.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of human services shall seek a federal 
  1.8   waiver of the requirements for the program of aid to families 
  1.9   with dependent children to exclude from the calculation of 
  1.10  income under Minnesota Statutes, section 256.74, the earnings of 
  1.11  any caretaker or dependent child which are attributable to 
  1.12  participation in the youth employment program authorized by 
  1.13  Minnesota Statutes, sections 268.361 to 268.367. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [WAIVER.] 
  1.15     The commissioner of human services shall submit the waiver 
  1.16  authorized by section 1 as part of the federal waiver package 
  1.17  authorized by Laws 1995, chapter 178, article 2, section 46.
