A bill for an act
relating to the State Building Code; requiring installation of safety nets in certain
stadiums; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 326B.112, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 326B.112, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Beginning January 1, 202.., a place
of public accommodation that is a stadium designed for occupancy by ....... or more people
and having one or more tiered seating decks above the main level must install for each
seating tier a safety net below the tier to catch falling objects.
