  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to veterans affairs; authorizing the 
  1.3             placement of a plaque on the capitol grounds 
  1.4             recognizing the service of veterans of the Persian 
  1.5             Gulf war. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [PLAQUE HONORING MINNESOTA'S PERSIAN GULF WAR 
  1.8   VETERANS.] 
  1.9      A memorial plaque recognizing Minnesota's veterans of the 
  1.10  Persian Gulf war may be placed in the court of honor on the 
  1.11  capitol grounds.  The plaque must be furnished by a person or 
  1.12  organization other than the department of veterans affairs and 
  1.13  approved by the commissioner of veterans affairs and the capitol 
  1.14  area architectural and planning board. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
