  1.2             relating to state government; providing that the state 
  1.3             may not acquire privately-owned land without the 
  1.4             approval of the local county board; proposing coding 
  1.5             for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 15. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [15.155] [ACQUISITION OF LAND BY STATE.] 
  1.8      Except for land acquired by eminent domain or for 
  1.9   transportation purposes, no state agency or department may 
  1.10  acquire privately-owned land without the prior approval of the 
  1.11  county board in which the land is located.
