relating to education finance; appropriating money for a grant to Playworks for
the expansion of social-emotional programming in elementary schools.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Education in the fiscal years
designated.

new text begin (a) For a grant to Playworks for the expansion of
social-emotional programming in elementary schools:

new text begin (b) Grant funds must be used for the expansion of social-emotional programming in
elementary schools that meets the highest criteria for evidence of impact under the Every
Student Succeeds Act, to decrease bullying and discipline incidents, and to increase academic
engagement through classroom lessons and coaching at recess.
