  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to employment; restoring funding cuts for a 
  1.3             program of supported employment for persons with 
  1.4             severe and persistent mental illness; appropriating 
  1.5             money.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT.] 
  1.8      $622,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of employment and economic development for the 
  1.10  biennium ending June 30, 2005, for grants for programs that 
  1.11  provide employment support services to persons with mental 
  1.12  illness under Minnesota Statutes, sections 268A.13 and 268A.14.  
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
