A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; authorizing issuance of pregnancy-related disability
parking certificates; amending Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 169.345, by adding
a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 169.345, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin Pregnancy-related temporary certificates. new text end

new text begin (a) Upon application and
submission of a medical statement under subdivision 2a affirming the applicant is in the
third trimester of pregnancy, the commissioner shall issue a temporary certificate under this
section to the applicant. The temporary certificate is valid for up to 90 days and must
prominently display the expiration date.

affirming the delivery date of the applicant's child, the commissioner shall issue a temporary
certificate under this section to the applicant. The temporary certificate is valid for up to 90
days after the delivery date and must prominently display the expiration date.
