  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health occupations; establishing the 
  1.3             council of health boards; amending Minnesota Statutes 
  1.4             2000, sections 214.001, by adding a subdivision; and 
  1.5             214.01, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 214.001, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4.  [INFORMATION FROM COUNCIL OF HEALTH BOARDS.] The 
  1.10  legislature may obtain information from the council of health 
  1.11  boards on proposals relating to the regulation of health 
  1.12  occupations. 
  1.13     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 214.01, is 
  1.14  amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.15     Subd. 1a.  [COUNCIL OF HEALTH BOARDS.] "Council of health 
  1.16  boards" means a collaborative body established by the 
  1.17  health-related licensing boards.
