  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to Ramsey county; authorizing the county to 
  1.3             make certain purchases from or through a health care 
  1.4             cooperative; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes, chapter 383A.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [383A.323] [PURCHASING THROUGH HEALTH CARE 
  1.8   COOPERATIVE.] 
  1.9      Sections 471.345 to 471.37 do not prohibit Ramsey county on 
  1.10  behalf of the Ramsey nursing home as a member of a health care 
  1.11  cooperative pursuant to chapter 62R from purchasing from or 
  1.12  through the health care cooperative.  The purchases through a 
  1.13  health care cooperative are not subject to sections 471.345 to 
  1.14  471.37. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day after the Ramsey county 
  1.17  board's approval is filed according to Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.18  section 645.021, subdivision 3.
