  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; increasing the allocation 
  1.3             for semi-independent living services under certain 
  1.4             circumstances; reducing the amount of money available 
  1.5             for reallocation for semi-independent living services. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [SEMI-INDEPENDENT LIVING SERVICES ALLOCATION 
  1.8   INCREASE; OFFSETTING REDUCTION.] 
  1.9      (a) Effective July 1, 2002, the allocation for calendar 
  1.10  year 2002 under Minnesota Statutes, section 252.275, subdivision 
  1.11  4, shall be increased by $14,000 for a county in which spending 
  1.12  was reduced for the 12 months ending June 30, 2001, due to the 
  1.13  closure of a semi-independent living services provider.  For 
  1.14  calendar year 2003 the guaranteed floor minimum index for the 
  1.15  county shall also include the additional $14,000. 
  1.16     (b) Of the amount available for reallocation under 
  1.17  Minnesota Statutes, section 252.275, subdivision 4c, during 
  1.18  fiscal year 2003, the first $14,000 shall be used for the 
  1.19  purposes of paragraph (a).
