1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to civil commitment; clarifying the financial 1.3 responsibility for hearings on the use of neuroleptic 1.4 medications; amending Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 1.5 256G.08, subdivision 1. 1.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 1994, section 256G.08, 1.8 subdivision 1, is amended to read: 1.9 Subdivision 1. [COMMITMENTS.] In cases of voluntary 1.10 admission or commitment to state or other institutions, the 1.11 committing county shall initially pay for all costs. This 1.12 includes the expenses of the taking into custody, confinement, 1.13 examination, commitment, conveyance to the place of detention, 1.14andrehearing, and hearings under section 253B.03, subdivision 1.15 6c, including hearings held under that section which are venued 1.16 outside the county of commitment.
