  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing spending 
  1.3             to acquire and to better public land and buildings and 
  1.4             other public improvements of a capital nature; 
  1.5             providing for a grant to the city of Montevideo for 
  1.6             improvements to an historic railroad depot and related 
  1.7             parking and facilities; authorizing issuance of bonds; 
  1.8             appropriating money. 
  1.9   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.10     Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.11     $185,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the 
  1.12  commissioner of administration for a grant to the city of 
  1.13  Montevideo for exterior improvements to the city's historic 
  1.14  railroad depot and for design and development of a related 
  1.15  parking area, trailhead, and public facilities at the site, 
  1.16  subject to the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.17  16A.695. 
  1.18     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.19     To provide the money appropriated in section 1 from the 
  1.20  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on request of 
  1.21  the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.22  amount up to $185,000 in the manner, on the terms, and with the 
  1.23  effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.24  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.25  4 to 7. 
  1.26     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.27     Sections 1 and 2 are effective the day following final 
  2.1   enactment.
