  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to retirement; authorizing the payment of 
  1.3             omitted salary deductions to the public employees 
  1.4             retirement association by certain employees of Dakota 
  1.5             county. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [PAYMENT OF OMITTED SALARY DEDUCTIONS.] 
  1.8      Subdivision 1.  [APPLICATION.] This section applies to a 
  1.9   person who was born on October 23, 1943, and was employed by 
  1.10  Dakota county on October 16, 1985. 
  1.11     Subd. 2.  [PAYMENT.] Notwithstanding Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.12  section 353.27, subdivision 12, paragraph (c), the public 
  1.13  employees retirement association may accept payment of omitted 
  1.14  employer and employee contributions for an employee described in 
  1.15  subdivision 1 from October 16, 1985, to the date, determined by 
  1.16  the association, when it began to receive contributions for the 
  1.17  employee.  Payment of the omitted deductions must be made in 
  1.18  accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 353.27, subdivision 
  1.19  12, paragraph (a). 
  1.20     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.21     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
