  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to veterans affairs; authorizing the 
  1.3             placement of a plaque on the capitol grounds 
  1.4             recognizing the service of women veterans from all 
  1.5             wars. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [PLAQUE HONORING MINNESOTA'S WOMEN VETERANS.] 
  1.8      A memorial plaque recognizing Minnesota's women veterans of 
  1.9   all wars may be placed in the court of honor on the capitol 
  1.10  grounds.  The plaque must be furnished by a person or 
  1.11  organization other than the department of veterans affairs and 
  1.12  approved by the commissioner of veterans affairs and the capitol 
  1.13  area architectural and planning board. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
