  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; appropriating federal TANF 
  1.3             funds for the health care and human services worker 
  1.4             training and retention program. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      (a) For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2001, $....... of 
  1.8   federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families block grant 
  1.9   funds authorized under title I, Public Law Number 104-193, the 
  1.10  Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act 
  1.11  of 1996, and awarded in federal fiscal years 2001 and 2002 is 
  1.12  appropriated to the commissioner of human services to be 
  1.13  transferred to the job skills partnership board for the health 
  1.14  care and human services worker training and retention program 
  1.15  created under Minnesota Statutes, section 116L.10. 
  1.16     (b) The appropriation in paragraph (a) shall become part of 
  1.17  base level funding for the commissioner of human services and 
  1.18  shall be transferred on an annual basis to the job skills 
  1.19  partnership board for the health care and human services worker 
  1.20  training and retention program.
