A bill for an act
 relating to transportation; appropriating money for a Tribal affairs construction
workforce training program; appropriating money for the Tribal-state relations
training program.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin WORKFORCE TRAINING; APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $900,000 in fiscal year 2024 and $900,000 in fiscal year 2025 are appropriated from the
general fund to the commissioner of transportation for the purpose of establishing a Tribal
affairs workforce training program related to the construction industry. The commissioner
may enter into an agreement with any private, public, or Tribal entity for the planning,
designing, developing, delivery, and hosting of the program. The commissioner may use
the appropriation made in this section to pay for reasonable costs incurred to administer the
program.

general fund to the commissioner of transportation for the Tribal-state relations training
program to facilitate training for state agencies.
