  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to capital improvements; authorizing bonds 
  1.3             and appropriating money to complete a recreational 
  1.4             trail in the city of Montevideo. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION FOR TRAIL.] 
  1.7      $250,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of natural resources for a grant to the city of 
  1.9   Montevideo to complete the recreational trail within the city.  
  1.10  The appropriation must be used for construction expenses only. 
  1.11     Sec. 2.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.12     To provide the money appropriated by section 1 from the 
  1.13  state bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on 
  1.14  request of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state 
  1.15  in an amount up to $250,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and 
  1.16  with the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 
  1.17  16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article 
  1.18  XI, sections 4 to 7. 
  1.19     Sec. 3.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.20     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
