  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to water; directing construction of a dam on 
  1.3             Gunn lake; appropriating money; authorizing state 
  1.4             bonds; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes, chapter 103G. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [103G.422] [GUNN LAKE ELEVATION.] 
  1.8      The most desirable and beneficial level for the waters of 
  1.9   Gunn lake is 1,358 feet.  The commissioner shall construct a dam 
  1.10  on the north end of the lake on state-owned land to maintain 
  1.11  that level at the dam runout. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.13     $....... is appropriated from the bond proceeds fund to the 
  1.14  commissioner of natural resources for dam construction under 
  1.15  Minnesota Statutes, section 103G.505.  
  1.16     Sec. 3.  [BOND SALE.] 
  1.17     To provide the money appropriated in section 2 from the 
  1.18  bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of finance, on the request 
  1.19  of the governor, shall sell and issue bonds of the state in an 
  1.20  amount up to $....... in the manner, upon the terms, and with 
  1.21  the effect prescribed in Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 
  1.22  16A.675, and by the Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 
  1.23  4 to 7.  
  1.24     Sec. 4.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.25     This act is effective the day following final enactment.
