A bill for an act
relating to education finance; authorizing a payment to Tribal contract or grant
schools equivalent to the annual payment to school districts and charter schools
from the permanent school fund endowment; appropriating money; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 124D.83, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2022, section 124D.83, is amended by adding a subdivision
to read:

new text begin A Tribal contract or grant school
eligible for aid under this section qualifies for permanent school fund replacement aid. The
aid for each Tribal contract or grant school equals the school's pupils in average daily
membership for that year times the per pupil allowance paid to school districts and charter
schools under section 127A.33 for that year.
