  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; increasing reimbursement 
  1.3             rates under the alternative care and elderly waivered 
  1.4             programs for Kandiyohi county; amending Minnesota 
  1.5             Statutes 1996, sections 256B.0913, by adding a 
  1.6             subdivision; and 256B.0915, by adding a subdivision. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 256B.0913, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 15d.  [REIMBURSEMENT RATES; KANDIYOHI COUNTY.] (a) 
  1.11  Notwithstanding subdivision 14, paragraph (e), effective January 
  1.12  1, 1997, the following reimbursement rates in Kandiyohi county 
  1.13  shall be adjusted: 
  1.14     (1) the maximum allowed rate for case management services 
  1.15  shall be $18.82 per 15-minute unit; 
  1.16     (2) the maximum allowed rate for homemaker services shall 
  1.17  be $3.36 per 15-minute unit; 
  1.18     (3) the maximum allowed rate for home health aide services 
  1.19  shall be $5.59 per 15-minute unit; 
  1.20     (4) the maximum allowed rate for in-home respite care 
  1.21  services shall be $7.92 per 30-minute unit; and 
  1.22     (5) the maximum allowed rate for out-of-home respite care 
  1.23  services shall be $7.92 per 30-minute unit. 
  1.24     (b) Any adjustments to the maximum allowed rates in 
  1.25  paragraph (a) in fiscal year 1998 and later years shall be 
  1.26  calculated from the current maximum rate in effect at the time 
  2.1   an adjustment is made. 
  2.2      Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 1996, section 256B.0915, is 
  2.3   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  2.4      Subd. 3d.  [REIMBURSEMENT RATES; KANDIYOHI COUNTY.] (a) 
  2.5   Notwithstanding subdivision 3, paragraph (h), effective January 
  2.6   1, 1997, the following reimbursement rates in Kandiyohi county 
  2.7   shall be adjusted: 
  2.8      (1) the maximum allowed rate for case management services 
  2.9   shall be $19.01 per 15-minute unit; 
  2.10     (2) the maximum allowed rate for homemaker services shall 
  2.11  be $3.39 per 15-minute unit; 
  2.12     (3) the maximum allowed rate for home health aide services 
  2.13  shall be $5.64 per 15-minute unit; 
  2.14     (4) the maximum allowed rate for in-home respite care 
  2.15  services shall be $7.99 per 30-minute unit; and 
  2.16     (5) the maximum allowed rate for out-of-home respite care 
  2.17  services shall be $7.99 per 30-minute unit. 
  2.18     (b) Any adjustments to the maximum allowed rates in 
  2.19  paragraph (a) in fiscal year 1998 and later years shall be 
  2.20  calculated from the current maximum rate in effect at the time 
  2.21  an adjustment is made.
