  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; appropriating money for 
  1.3             a grant to the range association of municipalities and 
  1.4             schools to coordinate a response to declining student 
  1.5             enrollment in iron range school districts.  
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.8      $250,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2002 from the 
  1.9   general fund to the department of children, families, and 
  1.10  learning for a grant to the range association of municipalities 
  1.11  and schools to provide a coordinated response to declining 
  1.12  student enrollment in the region's school districts, including 
  1.13  analysis of curriculum, transportation, and district 
  1.14  administration.  
  1.15     This appropriation is available until June 30, 2003.
