  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to children; appropriating money for the 
  1.3             child and adult care food program. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM.] 
  1.6      The following sum is appropriated from the general fund to 
  1.7   the commissioner of children, families, and learning in the 
  1.8   fiscal year designated for the child and adult care food program:
  1.9        $8,000,000     .....     2000 
  1.10     This appropriation shall be used to provide state 
  1.11  reimbursements to child and adult care providers participating 
  1.12  in the child and adult care food program administered by the 
  1.13  department of children, families, and learning through the 
  1.14  United States Department of Agriculture.  The state 
  1.15  reimbursements shall be based on the reports required by the 
  1.16  United States Department of Agriculture for federal food 
  1.17  reimbursements for providers covered under this program.  State 
  1.18  reimbursements to supplement the federal food reimbursements 
  1.19  shall be made at a rate of $0.65 per lunch, $0.05 per breakfast, 
  1.20  and $0.03 per snack. 
  1.21     This appropriation is available until June 30, 2001.
